Because of their dedication, we’re able to help hundreds of individuals with disabilities live fulfilling lives in central Missouri.

Kerensa BrisenoToday we talked with Kerensa Briseno, DSP for Day Program.

How long have you worked for ACT?

July 17, 2018 was my two year anniversary.

What’s your favorite memory while working at ACT?

A favorite memory was definitely watching our individuals in the talent show. I love seeing them participate and perform without worry of judgment!

What brought you to this line of work?

My mother worked for Woodhaven when I was growing up. She would bring home an individual that she worked with on the weekends to stay with us. She became our family and I just always knew I wanted to do the same kind of work and help others.

Why do you like working with ACT?

I love working with our individuals and feeling like I might be making a small difference in their everyday lives.

If you had a superhero name what would it be?

Superhero name??? Princess Megamouth, haha.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?

If I could have any super power it would be to be able to eat anything I want, when I want and never get fat!

Thank you, Kerensa. Of course, you’re making a difference in people’s lives every single day. Thank you for being a part of the team!
