ACT Individuals Make Centerpieces for Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship Dinner
Continuing their ongoing community relationship with Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, individuals from ACT’s Day Program crafted centerpieces for the Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship Dinner, honoring members of the Alpha Delta Chapter at Mizzou who have maintained a GPA of 3.7 or higher. The dinner was held at The Club at Old Hawthorne on April 12th.
Individuals shopped for vases, spray painted them based on pictures found online, cut fabric, as well as cut and arranged dozens of the sorority’s official flower: pink carnations. Some of the individuals posed with a finished centerpiece before packing them up to be transported to the dinner.
Individuals were excited to work on the project as a “thank you” to the sorority women for volunteering at ACT during Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2016.
While speaking to the ladies at the event, Chapter President Caroline Pitzo expressed that the ladies have enjoyed their time volunteering at ACT and hope to continue the relationship.
